A true Marbleheader, James was well known for his active role in the community, his smile, and his love of sports.
MHS19 honors James' memory and celebrates his competitive spirit by supporting student-athletes and their families.

A lasting legacy to celebrate a life lost too soon
MHS19 was created to honor the memory of James Galante, a beloved member of the Marblehead community and dedicated teammate of the 2021 Massachusetts Division 3 Super Bowl Champion Magicians Football team.
The mission of MHS19 is to conduct fundraising events to provide annual financial scholarships and recruitment assistance to high school athletes who plan to continue their athletic endeavors in college or to otherwise fund initiatives to further commemorate the legacy of James R. Galante.
James planned to continue his football and academic career at Dennison University before his life was tragically lost just months before his graduation from Marblehead High School.
